Refund Policy

Last updated: October 29, 2026

We want every video to be worth it. Here's how refunds work.

Failed videos are automatic

If a video fails for a technical reason, nothing is charged: the video time set aside for it is returned to your balance automatically — you don't need to ask.

Cancelling your plan

You can cancel anytime from your account. Your plan stays active, with its remaining minutes of video, until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.

Refunds on a new charge

If you were charged for a new month and haven't used any of that month's video time, you can request a full refund within 14 days of the charge. Months where video time was used are not refundable, because each video has real computing and voice costs. If something went wrong with a video — wrong audio, broken frames — email us and we'll fix it or return the video time.

Yearly plans

Yearly plans are billed once a year at a 20% discount and include the whole year's minutes of video up front. If you haven't used any of those minutes, you can request a full refund within 14 days of the charge. After video time has been used, yearly plans are not refundable, but you can cancel so the plan doesn't renew.

The $2.99 first video

Each account can buy one video for a one-time $2.99 (up to 5 minutes). This purchase is non-refundable: you see and approve the plan before you pay, it's marked non-refundable next to the payment button and on the checkout page, and the video starts being made as soon as payment goes through. If the video fails for a technical reason, you can press Make the video again at no extra charge, or email us and we'll fix it.

Extra time

Extra time is a one-time purchase and never expires. Unused extra time can be refunded within 14 days of purchase; once any of a purchase's time has been used, that purchase is not refundable. Extra time is used only after your plan's minutes run out.

Paying with crypto

Purchases paid with crypto follow the same refund policy as card payments: the $2.99 first video is non-refundable, and plans and extra time can be refunded within 14 days if none of their video time has been used. A plan paid with crypto covers one month or one year and does not renew. You can renew it with crypto in the last 7 days before it ends: the new period starts when the current one ends, and unused minutes carry over. Crypto payments can't be refunded automatically: email hello@imavro.com from the address on your account with your purchase date and the wallet address to send it to. We refund the US dollar amount you paid, in the same coin and network you paid with, within 5 business days of approval; network fees are on us.

What happens to video time after a refund

When a purchase is refunded (fully or in part) or disputed with your bank, the video time it added is removed from your balance in the same proportion. Video time you've already used is not charged back to you — your balance simply won't go below zero.

How to request a refund

In the studio, click Request a refund under your balance: a card purchase from the last 14 days that you haven't made a video with yet is refunded right away. For crypto purchases and anything else, email hello@imavro.com from the address on your account with your purchase date. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
