VIDEO BUDGETS

How much does a corporate video cost?

Published agency guides put most professionally produced corporate videos between a few thousand and tens of thousands of dollars. The range is wide because scope, not length, sets the price.

Published video production price ranges

These figures come from price guides published by companies in the video business, and they are US-focused, so treat them as a starting point rather than a quote. Figures checked in November 2026.

What drives the price

Ask for each of these to be listed in a quote, so you can see where the money goes.

Pre-production

Scriptwriting, storyboarding, casting and location scouting.

Crew and shoot days

How many people, how many days and which equipment.

Locations and talent

Studio or location fees, actors and their usage rights.

Post-production

Editing, colour, motion graphics, sound, voice-over and music licensing.

Revisions and rush work

Extra rounds of changes and short deadlines. Vidico lists rush fees of 25 to 50%.

Later changes

Translation, new versions and updates after delivery.

How to compare quotes

These steps apply whichever supplier you choose.

  1. Send everyone the same brief. Include the audience, length, formats, languages and deadline.
  2. Ask what is included. Check script, voice-over, music, subtitles and the number of revision rounds.
  3. Ask who owns the result. Confirm how you may use the video, where and for how long, including music and talent.
  4. Price the next version. Ask what a change costs after delivery. Products and prices rarely stay still.
  5. Compare like with like. A filmed shoot, custom animation and a video made from a brief are different products.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a corporate video cost?

Published agency price guides commonly put a professionally produced corporate video at a few thousand dollars or more, and the range is wide. Vidico says most projects land between $3,000 and $50,000, and DesignRush lists $2,000 to $20,000 for corporate videos.

How much does an explainer video cost?

DesignRush lists explainer videos at $3,000 to $25,000, and custom 2D animation at $5,000 to $20,000 per minute. The price depends mainly on style, script work and the number of revisions.

Why do video quotes vary so much?

Quotes depend on scope more than length: crew size, locations, actors, custom animation, revision rounds and rush work. Two quotes are only comparable when they cover the same script and deliverables.

How much does Imavro cost?

Storyboards are free. The first video is $2.99, up to 5 minutes at 1080p. Plans start at $19 a month for 15 minutes of video.

Is Imavro the same as hiring an agency?

No. Imavro produces videos from a written brief and cannot film your people, products or premises. An agency or local crew is the better choice when real footage, on-site direction or a custom creative campaign matters most.

Are there costs agencies often add later?

Common extras include additional revision rounds, rush fees, travel, translation, music licensing and talent usage rights. Ask whether each one is included before you sign.
