How to plan a product launch video
Use these steps with any production method.
- Start with what the customer does today. Describe the task or frustration first, so the new feature has a reason to exist.
- Show one thing well. Choose the single feature that would make someone try the product.
- Prepare clean screenshots. Use realistic sample data and remove real customer names or personal details.
- Use real numbers carefully. Only use figures you can stand behind, and check them with whoever owns the claim.
- Match the channel. Plan a widescreen version for the site and a vertical one for social feeds.
- Allow time for review. Have product and legal read the storyboard before the launch date, not after.

Frequently asked questions
What should a product launch video include?
The problem your customer has today, what is new, one clear demonstration and where to go next. One feature shown properly usually says more than a list of ten.
Can the video show our actual product?
Yes. Attach 2 to 4 screenshots, such as the home screen, the key feature and a result, and they are used as the product's screens in the video. Imavro does not record a live session of your software.
How long should a launch video be?
Short enough to watch in the announcement itself, often under a minute or two. Imavro videos run up to 10 minutes on a plan or with extra time, and up to 5 minutes for the first video at $2.99.
Can we make a vertical app promo?
Yes. Request 9:16 in your brief, and the screens appear in a phone frame. For 16:9, they appear in a browser frame.
Can you make it for a physical product?
Imavro cannot film your product. You can supply photographs, or use a motion graphics or diagram style to explain how it works.
Can we change a line before launch?
Yes. The storyboard can be revised before production, and each video includes up to 5 corrections after delivery. Only the affected part is redone.
